REVALUE
Exploring, evaluating and drawing alternative building concepts

The continuing PhD project REVALUE examines and challenges the traditional boundaries between architecture and history, as exemplified by environmental consciousness with regard to the urban condition of the Tabula Plena.
Qualities that were formerly considered the antithesis of the contemporary — such as antique, historic, and even ordinary things — now prompt practitioners to blur the lines between design professions. REVALUE is committed to researching emergent dynamics by experimental design interactions with culturally relevant artifacts. The program is founded upon the incremental experience as heritage practioner. As such it encourages interdisciplinary thinking, creative modes of production and commitments that underpin experimental preservation attempts.
